Hello!
Just a little update from me. I've gone and recorded that there album! I spent a week over at Magic Garden Studios with Gavin Monaghan, and we worked hard to make something that sounded intimate, warm and full. I'm really pleased with it and am hugely grateful to Gavin for all of his efforts, enthusiasm and encouragement. There's no overdubs, it's all recorded live with just me and guitar. Also, talk about sod's law - I can't remember the last time I had a cold, but right on cue, 2 days before recording I got hit with the mother of all colds. I think I managed to just about get away with it though!
I'll be pulling together the artwork and whatnot, and will be playing a couple of shows, including the 8th October at the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Birmingham with my friend Josh Harty from North Dakota. In the meantime, here are a couple of songs I performed as part of the Songs from the Shed sessions - I've been a long time fan of these videos, so was really honoured to have been chosen to play there, had a really nice time.
